How to Use RemZzzs® CPAP Mask Liners
RemZzzs® soft, breathable cotton CPAP mask liners are incredibly comfortable and simple to use. All you have to do is use a fresh liner each night and follow our easy recommendations in this guide below. A great night's sleep has never been more convenient and enjoyable! Here are our step-by-step instructions for using our liners with each major type of CPAP mask.
Full-Face CPAP Masks
For best results, please read the Instructions For Use inside each package of RemZzzs®, for pictures showing and depicting "How-To-Use" this style of liner.
Please note that Step 5 is very important for optimum full-face CPAP mask and liner performance.
- Place your RemZzzs® liner directly on top of your full-face mask cushion. If your mask includes a forehead cushion, fold your rectangular forehead liner, and place it on the forehead piece.
- Lean forward to face downward, placing your nose and mouth into the lower half of the liner's hole. Note: your liner may partially cover your mouth at this stage of placement.
- Hold your mask against your face as you return your head to a normal, upright position.
- Attach your mask's straps and headgear and adjust to a comfortable fit.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Pull firmly on the edges of the RemZzzs® liner that are sticking out beyond the mask. Stretch the liner to ensure a custom-fit hole around your nose and mouth. This should create 1/2 inch or 3/4 inches of extra liner outside of your mask, and this extra liner will curl away from your face.
Nasal CPAP Masks
To get the most benefit out of this mask, please read the Instructions for Use inside each package of RemZzzs®, for pictures showing and describing "How-To-Use" this style of liner.
Please see that Step 5 is key to the comfort and performance of your nasal CPAP mask and liner.
- Place your RemZzzs® liner directly on top of your nasal mask cushion, aligning it with the shape of the mask all the way around. If your mask has a forehead cushion, fold the rectangular forehead cushion liner, and place it on the forehead cushion.
- Lean forward to face downward, and place your nose into the liner's hole.
- Hold your nasal mask against your face, and return your head to an upright position.
- Attach your mask's headgear and straps, and adjust them to a comfortable fit.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Pull firmly on the edges of the mask liner that are protruding around the nasal mask. This will allow you to stretch the hole around your nose and create a custom fit, resulting in at least 1/2 inch to 3/4 inches of extra liner around the outside of your mask, which will curl away from your face.
Nasal Pillow CPAP Masks
For best results, please read the Instructions For Use inside each package of RemZzzs®, for pictures showing and describing "How-To-Use" this style of liner.
Since nasal pillow CPAP masks are designed to create a tight yet comfortable seal around both of your nostrils, proper fit is key.
- Place a fresh RemZzzs® liner on top of your nasal pillow mask's nostril cushions.
- Thread the two nasal pillows through the liner's larger holes, with the small holes facing you.
- Fold the liner upward so the two smaller holes stretch over the nasal pillows, allowing the pillow openings to protrude through the liner's holes.
- Lean forward to face downward, and place the nasal pillows into your nostrils.
- Hold the pillows to your nose, and pull your mask's headgear over your head. Adjust the straps for a firm yet comfortable fit.
- Use your thumb and forefinger to adjust your liner for a comfortable and tight fit. If you temporarily remove your mask, simply follow steps 1-5 again, as needed, for the most secure and effective fit.
Minimal-Contact Full-Face CPAP Masks
Please refer to the Instructions For Use inside each package of RemZzzs®, for pictures detailing "How-To-Use" this style of liner.
Minimal-contact full-face CPAP masks are designed to cover your nose and mouth while allowing for better visibility and enabling you to wear glasses while wearing the mask. Note that Step 5 is very important to the fit, comfort, and performance of your minimal-contact full-face mask liner.
- Place a new RemZzzs® mask liner on top of the mask's cushion, aligning the liner's hole with the shape of the mask.
- Lean your head forward to face downward, and place your nose into the center of the liner's hole. Note: your mask liner may partially cover your mouth at this point.
- Hold your mask snugly against your face as you return to an upright position.
- Attach your mask's straps and headgear, and adjust them for a firm yet comfortable fit.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Pull firmly on the edges of your mask liner that are protruding around the edges of the mask cushion. Stretch the liner to create an effective custom fit around your nose and mouth. You should see a minimum of 1/2 inch to 3/4 inches of extra liner on the outside of your mask, and this extra liner will curl away from your face.
Total-Face CPAP Masks
For best results, please read the Instructions For Use inside each package of RemZzzs®, for pictures showing and describing "How-To-Use" this style of liner.
Please note that Step 5 is critical to the comfort and performance of your total-face CPAP mask.
- Place a fresh RemZzzs® liner on top of your total-face mask cushion, aligning it with the shape of the mask.
- Lean forward to face downward, and place your face into the mask, ensuring the cushion and liner cover seamlessly around your mouth, nose, and eyes.
- Hold your mask securely against your face as you return to an upright head position.
- Attach your mask's headgear and straps, and adjust them for a firm yet comfortable fit all the way around.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Pull firmly on the edges of your mask liner all the way around the mask's cushion. Carefully stretch your liner to create a seamless custom fit everywhere. You should have an extra 1/2 inch to 3/4 inches of liner sticking out of the mask all the way around, and this extra liner will curl away from your face.
